For example, if you've recently made another large purchase, such as a vehicle or costly entertainment system, and are on a monthly payment program, the bank will factor this against your income to determine if you are at risk of de-faulting on your mortgage loan because of too many monthly payments. Even if you are willing to eat beans and rice for a few months until you've paid down your debts, the bank won't factor that in. It's best to avoid making a large purchase if you are considering applying for a mortgage loan, or you risk the chance of being turned down.

The ShipWreck that had a Secret to Tell

A private dive team have discovered a long wrecked ship at the coast of alaska. The Torrent sank in Cook Inlet in 1868 after tidal currents rammed it into a reef south of the Kenai Peninsula. Documents from the period show that all 155 people on board survived. The shipwreck is the oldest American wreck ever found in Alaska.

They have found the wrecked ship in July and until this day then it was official announced to prevent looters arrival, this was a secret kept by the 4 men dive crew.

What was found: An array of objects, from guns, cannons, shoes and plates, are hidden beneath the broad leaves of giant kelp beds or concealed in caverns and crevices among massive boulders. Big finds include the two anchors, sections of hull and heavy bronze rudder hinges weighing about 100 lbs.

The Torrent is now being considered for listing in the National Registry of Historic Places. Bittner said state or federal archaeologists may study the wreck if they can secure enough funding.

While i am experimenting my blog on blogger, there seem to be many restrictions that came on my blog. I can't believe there are so many bloggers who are still on blogspot, don't you guys struggle in getting more unique and great plugins that wordpress had to offer?

I can't tell for sure how long i will be blogging on this platform, but for now let's just enjoy ourself with all the interesting and unique stuff that we have encountered here in this blog. I can't imagine how well some of the blogger's had done so far, I guess blogging for long does allows you to get noticed and thus being able to sell yourself to the crowd.

Federal loans to students
The very first category are loans made directly to the student themselves. The loans are available to college and university students used to supplement personal and family resources, scholarships, grants. Subsidized federal student loans are offered to students. Financial need may vary from school to school. The federal government makes interest payments while the student is in college.

Unsubsidized federal student loans
Unsubsidized federal student loans are also guaranteed by the U.S. Government, but the government does not pay interest for the student, rather the interest accrues during college. Those who borrow $10,000 during college will owe $10,000 plus interest upon graduation. The interest will be "capitalized" into the loan amount, and the borrower will begin making payments on the accumulated total. Students can choose to pay the interest while still in college.

Private Student Loan
A private student loan is a financing option for higher education in the United States that can either supplement or replace federally guaranteed loans such as Stafford loans, Perkins loans and PLUS loans. These are unsecured loans with various options for repayment and may offer forbearance and deferral options.

Most private loan programs are tied to one or more financial indices such as the Wall Street Journal Prime Rate or the BBA LIBOR rate plus an overhead charge. This type loan invariably has a one time origination fee which depends upon the loan amount.

Parents loaning
Parents have an option of borrowing money to cover the educational expenses of higher education. This type of loan is called Parent Loan of Undergraduate Student. In this type of loan, no grace period is provided and payments start as soon as the loan is disbursed.
